Tropic Thunder and Men in Black III screenwriter Etan Cohen will be making his debut as a director on a new Paramount horror-comedy called Boy Scouts vs. Zombies.
The script, written by Carrie Evans and Emi Mochizuki, made Hollywood's "Black List" of top unproduced scripts in 2010, and it was picked up by Paramount later that year.
With zombie movies and cool thing vs. other cool thing flicks seemingly trending right now, it seems Paramount decided the time was right to release a movie that combines the two.
Giving it a run for its money in the "let's mash up some popular concepts" derby is Universal's Cowboy Ninja Viking, adapted from the graphic novel of the same name.
Although it doesn't have "Zombie" in the title, World War Z's Marc Forster will direct, and Zombieland's Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese wrote the screenplay.
