Being stuck on a plane is not fun, but having a barbershop quartet on board can definitely help.
A US Airways flight from Indianapolis to New Orleans was delayed due to maintenance issues last month and everyone got grumpy, as one does in that situation.
But a flight attendant named Kari Mann discovered that four of the passengers were part of a singing group called Port City Sound.
She asked them to sing for everyone and posted a video of the moment on YouTube.
“The mood changed and our passengers were awesome for the whole five hours they were on the plane,” she said. “One of my favorite moments!”
The video of their rendition of “Under the Boardwalk” has since racked up over 3 million views.
“We never thought that four guys singing on an airplane would generate so much interest,” said Port city Sound member Jim Simpson.
