Turtles Discovered To Be Entirely Different Species Than Originally Thought (Video)

Another day in the wholesome animal kingdom, and today we're all about turtles! They may be slow and they may have shells, but they're definitely not shy enough to stay holed up in those shells. In fact, turtles can be super friendly. We must confess, we had no idea just how adventurous and active turtles could be! We always thought of turtles as calm and peaceful creatures, they also make great pets. Knowledge is power, and we're feeling pretty powerful after watching this interesting video about Turtles being discovered to be an entirely different species than scientists originally thought!

"Scientists discovered that a type of giant tortoise present on one of Ecuador's Galapagos Islands is not a part of the species it was previously thought to be, Galapagos National Park said in a statement late last week. 'For Galapagos this finding represents the constant genetic variability that we have had in our species,' said the park's director, Danny Rueda." Via Inside Edition.
