Anybody Else Hooked on the Oddly Satisfying Rug and Carpet Cleaning Side of TikTok or is it Just Us

We didn't choose the carpet cleaning life, it chose us. Not saying we at Memebase go beyond vacuuming our rugs and/or carpets, but we cannot get enough of these videos of professional carpet cleaners.

We are all adults here and this feels like a safe space, so I'm just going to ask: does anyone really regularly shampoo their carpets? Like, I know what that is and I've definitely moved into places that always say they allegedly “shampooed” the carpets before moving in. But like, old carpets are old carpets. Can they really be saved?

YES. Carpet cleaning TikTok has now opened my eyes.

Reason I didn't text you back:

Gross looking carpets that you you usually see just rolled up in someone's trash or in some abandoned house CAN be saved. These carpet/rug cleaners are turning these moldy, gross looking decrepit things back into their glorious thousands of dollars self. Seriously, have you ever looked into buying a new rug? They are freakin' expensive. Like, even a nice small tufted rug can be like over $100. It's like, I just wanna keep my floor dry when I get out of the shower, why is this tiny thing I'm going to instantly get all gross $98?

Well, now that I've found my way to the satisfying world of carpet cleaning TikTok I will start to consider trash picking those tossed out carpets and rugs I always see on the curbs during trash night. Obviously, be cautions of bed bugs, but like, if you have a garage or some place you can clean the thing THIS thoroughly before you bring it back indoors, then I'mma go for it, baby!

Satisfying Reaction

The amount of videos and even entire profiles dedicated to carpet cleaning on TikTok that are viral is insane. Even amateur carpet cleaners who are just testing cleaning techniques out on their own carpets bursts with views—and for good reason. There's nothing more satisfying than seeing this nasty dirty thing that's basically black with dirt and mold, blossom into this rug or carpet with vibrant colors and vivid patterns. It went from, I wouldn't even step on that thing in my boots, to I will now always nap on this thing.
