Enter this Reddit user, F*ckgod420, who was fired for having brain cancer of all things.

It doesn't take a raging empath to know that this is among the cruelest of consequences for something they could not control. If the life-threatening diagnosis of cancer wasn't enough, this company thought that firing their worker would be an acceptable course of action to take. Despite this, the users of the Reddit thread r/antiwork were more than sympathetic towards the poster's struggles.

The user revealed that their employment termination occurred at the end of 2021 and they've been in recovery from multiple brain surgeries ever since.

The users of Reddit were more than happy to give this person advice on the next steps they needed to take. The Redditor was advised to lawyer up before going to the media, which led them to delete the original post.

Fellow Redditors not only gave legal advice but also advice about how cancer can qualify as one of the disabilities you can't be fired for.

Above all, the workers of Reddit stood in solidarity with this person and send them well wishes and good vibes.

Being fired for unfair reasons can often be a case of misery without company. A lot of people can be unsympathetic and blame the victim for their unfair firing. However, it's wholesome moments like this that remind us that Reddit isn't such a bad place after all.
