Landlord Tries To Hustle Tenants, Tenants Stop Paying Rent

Wow, this tale of a revenge taken by tenants against their landlord in New York reads like a real life fairytale. The landlord was trying to run up those tenants' repairs tabs, and didn't anticipate that they'd do their research on the building. That research resulted in learning that the landlord/landlord's company never got a note of occupancy for the building. Fast forward, and the tenants have a lawyer who basically set them up with rent-free living for around a year, in New York. Insane.

$Text - At the end of the summer they decided that our repairs (and all of the neighbors) were getting too expensive. So they send us bills.
