Doorbell cameras are known for capturing interesting things on camera that wouldn't otherwise be seen: wild animals sauntering past your porch, the antics of deliverymen when they think they aren't being watched, and sometimes, meteors. Meteors are made up of dust, ice, bits of asteroids and space junk, and they're usually minuscule (we're talking the size of a grain of sand) when they enter the Earth's atmosphere.
However, as a meteor enters the upper atmosphere an ionization trail is created, making it look much bigger than it actually is and creating that flash in the sky. Meteors fall through Earth's atmosphere fairly regularly, but you'd be extremely lucky to see one (and even then, it only lasts for a second or two). So we collected the best footage on the internet of meteors caught on doorbell cameras, and unlike when you see a meteor with your own eyes, you can watch these again and again. Enjoy.
