Internet Is Obsessed With Viral Farmer Who Tries New Tactic Every Day to Get His Scottish Highland Cattle to Let Him Brush Them

The internet loves a good fluffy cow, so when this viral farmer on TikTok started a series where he tries to brush his cattle, it was an instant hit. 

TikToker Morgan Gold runs a duck and goose farm in Vermont and he recently acquired a cattle of Scottish Highland cows. If you don't know anything about cows, these babies are the ones with the lush coats of hair. So fluffy, so gorgeous, epically adorable. This cattle, however, does not seem to be accustomed to any humans touching them, so Gold has his work cute out for him. 

Day 1

He's at almost 15 days of trying now, and he's making tiny bits of progress every time. He's trying new techniques that the viewers advice him to give a go in the comments. He first started by just trying to approach them with a brush and let them explore the brush. Then he tried approaching them from behind with the brush. Then he tried sitting on a bucket so not to be taller than them. He also tried sitting on a crate to get even lower to the ground. He has tried a different brush as well to see if maybe they'd prefer a different one. And recently he's just been trying to get them used to his presence and see if they'll even let him pet them at all.

The cows are pretty stand backish. They don't seem alarmed by his presence or even the brush—in fact they seem very curious about it, especially the young ones. But they still do not let him brush them. The most strokes he's ever gotten in was two in a row before the cow scurried away. It's not that they don't like to get brushed, because he set up a contraption that allows them to brush themselves and they absolutely love it. So it's really about getting them used to a human doing it for them.

Though he hasn't made too much progress yet, he isn't going to give up and his followers are obsessed and ready to be with him every step of the way. The day he actually gets a cow to let him brush them will be a joyous day indeed.
