Kittens Chilling Inside Shoes
Possible one of the strangest cat habits - hanging out inside your shoes. It being a lil weird doesn't make it any less cute of course. It just might be one of the cutest things in the world to walk into your home and find your kitten sleeping inside of your shoe.
It's probably the smell, and yeah, the inside of our shoes will definitely smell gross to us. But to our kittens, your shoes smell like you. They smell... very strongly of you. And if they like you and your smell, your shoes are the best place to get a nice whiff of that. They're basically showing their appreciation for you when they cuddle your shoes instead of you. It makes sense to them, we promise.
It might also be the case that after you walk outside, your shoes actually lose some of your smell and possibly even smell like other animals, so when your cat rubs up against them, they're spreading their own smell on your shoes. Very possessive. In the cutest way. So, it's all good stuff. Weird, but good. Cats do have a habit of sitting in places they don't belong, but this isn't one of them.
