Place your piece of standard printer paper (A4 or letter) on a table horizontally. Fold it in half long ways.
Open up the piece of paper and flip it over. Then fold along the same crease.
Open up the paper again. Then fold the paper long ways so the right and left edges meet.
Twist the folded piece of paper around so it's vertical.
With the creased fold on the left side of the paper, take the bottom left corner to meet the center fold.
Twist the piece of paper around so the folded edge is facing away from you, and fold the bottom right corner in to meet the center fold.
Open up the main fold, keeping the two triangles folded. Point them towards the right.
Take the bottom edge of the paper and bring up to meet the center fold, creating a longer pointed triangle on the bottom.
Twist the piece of paper around to point to the left, and fold up the bottom side to make another triangle point on the bottom.
Flip over the paper and twist it around to have the point facing you, then fold the pointed side up to the top using the crease in the middle of the paper.
Flip the piece of paper over and twist it around so the long edge is facing the left.
Now take the bottom edge of the paper and bring it in to the center crease.
Do the same to the other side, so the front now makes a triangle shape.
Flip over the piece of paper.
Lift up the long triangle piece and fold it up to the top.
Fold the paper in half.
Place the airplane flat on the table and lift up the top wing. Use the beginning of the point to guide the rest of the fold, which should be diagonal.
Smooth down the fold well.
Flip the piece of paper over.
Fold up the other wing to match the first one.
Open up one wing and make a 6 cm mark along the bottom edge of the wing.
Make a fold beginning at the point of the mark. Smooth down the crease well.
Open up the wings of the paper airplane and fold the bottom fold to the inside.
Folding the wings down, make a mark at 5.1 cm from the center fold.
Fold up the bottom of the wing at the point of the mark.
Do the same on the other wing.
Open up the paper airplane's wings and see how it flies!
