01
Step 1
Take a piece of standard printer paper (A4 or letter) and place it vertically on the table. Fold it in half long ways and smooth down the crease.
-
02
Step 2
Open up the paper again. Take the top left corner of the paper and fold it in to meet the center fold. Smooth the crease down.
-
03
Step 3
Do the same on the other side. Fold the top right corner down to meet the center fold. Smooth down the crease.
-
04
Step 4
Take the top of the triangle and fold it down so the pointed end meets the bottom edge of the folded paper. Smooth down the crease.
-
05
Step 5
Take the top left edge of the paper and fold the top edge in to meet the center fold.
-
06
Step 6
Fold in the right side, forming a triangle at the top.
-
07
Step 7
Fold the piece of paper in half with the triangle point meeting the bottom edge of the paper.
-
08
Step 8
Making a crease in the center of the top piece of paper, fold the top of the triangle up. About 1 inch of the triangle should go over the edge of the paper.
-
09
Step 9
Flip over the paper and fold it in half.
-
10
Step 10
Take a ruler and make a slightly diagonal vertical line about one inch away from the center fold, wider at the top and slightly narrower at the bottom.
-
11
Step 11
Fold down the wing over the crease you just made.
-
12
Step 12
Flip the paper over and fold the other wing over to meet the other wing. They should align up so the paper airplane can fly straight.
-
13
Step 13
Open up the paper airplane and fold both wings back to meet each other. Then lay the airplane flat on the table.
-
14
Step 14
Take a ruler and make a vertical marking about 1 inch long a ruler's width from the outside edge of the paper.
-
15
Step 15
Now make a diagonal line to the right and another vertical line. Check the GIF to check the shape you should draw.
-
16
Step 16
Now make one last horizontal marking from the outside edge of the paper to the third line you marked.
-
17
Step 17
Cut out the area you marked.
-
18
Step 18
Open up the wings of the paper airplane and smooth down the creases.
-
19
Step 19
Fold up 1 cm of the outside edge of the airplane's wings.
-
20
Step 20
Fold the edge of the other wing.
-
21
Step 21
Then open up the paper airplane's wings, fold up the small edges of the wings, and fly your paper airplane!
