Bodega Hater Gets Fired From Startup, Sparking Debate Over Whether He Deserved It

This week, an otherwise unremarkable himbo went viral for not understanding the difference between grocery stores and bodegas. His privilege dumbfounded many New Yorkers: never having lived in a food desert before and not being able even to conceptualize having to leave his neighborhood to find a Whole Foods.

While ignorant, this video was essentially harmless. His other now-deleted videos included him calling New York a sh*thole and posting his confidential cover letter for his startup job. Outreach, the company he moved to New York for, confirmed on Twitter that he has been fired.

Many people were very upset with this, claiming that there was no good reason to fire him.

However, others were pleased with, or at least understood the companies decision.

Whatever your take on this, this entire situation shows that what teachers and parents have preached for the past 15 years is true: nothing you post online is private. Anything you say can and will be used against you, and it's probably best to keep your hottest takes on anonymous accounts.
