Greedy Contractor Doubles Price On Original Order, Petty Revenge Ensues

Man, you've got to love that energy. Sometimes, people let the greediness consume them. If you ever find yourself dealing with someone who is clearly blinded by greed, it really just falls on you to consider providing them the potentially helpful, yet brutal wakeup call that they glaringly need. Suffice to say, this independent contractor got the reality check he needed.

    Font - I hired an independent contractor to deliver a product to my cabin on a lake. Several neighbors joined in to have the same product delivered to their places on the lake as well, after they found out I was able to arange it. Note - the delivery had to be made over the ice, so very few companies are willing/able to do it.     Font - After some haggling, $240 was agreed because the material was really needed. After delivery, though, the charge increased to $300 per load. Seems the ice did some damage to his vehicle and he needed to recoup the repair costs incurred from his own negligence. We paid, but vowed never to use this contractor again. Revenge?
