Man Insists On Licking Dinner Plate Clean, Girlfriend's Not Down

The world of dating is prone to many fits of drama breaking out between lovers. Sometimes, the drama seems infuriatingly avoidable. In this case, we have a steak aficionado blatantly disregarding his girlfriend's wishes for him to not lick his plate clean after enjoying a hearty meal. He went so far as to employ the tactic of visual misdirection, so that he could follow through with licking his plate clean. Suffice to say, this was met with strong disapproval by his girlfriend. Was he in the wrong for making the move that he did, or is his girlfriend overreacting? You be the judge.

    Font - We ended up going this past week and the food was great! He finished his steak and was staring at the juices leftover on the plate. When I wasn't paying attention, he asked me if I had seen a certain painting and gestured behind me. I turned and glanced and when I turned back, he was licking his plate! I made him stop and he got all fussy, like a child. He said "I hope you know what I'm giving up for you" and was moody the rest of the time we were there.

    Font - On one hand, I can't imagine it's that hard having table manners in public, especially on a date, but he really does love the food there.
