It is commonly known at this point that celebrities photoshop their bodies, not only for magazine covers but for insignificant Instagram posts. We really shouldn't trust anything we see these days on social media. It is so easy to blur over pimples, pinch in waistlines, and even crop heads onto different bodies.
What a lot of people don't know, however, is that celebrities can also edit their bodies on the videos they post. Yes, live-action body editing is a thing. There is basically an unlimited amount of ways to convince the public that you have a body that looks nothing like yours. If you don't make appearances in public as much, nobody would ever be able to prove you wrong.
If your trust issue senses are tingling, you're not alone.
TikTok user @VictoriaGarrick4 exposed the application that celebs are using to edit their pics in a very creative way. She begins by showing her own body in a bikini. To the naked eye, she looks completely normal, but then once she takes off the filter she exposes how powerful these edits can be.
Victoria's only goal was to show people that they are literally comparing their bodies to something that is not only unrealistic to them, but also to the person they see on their phone. Photoshopping your body might seem harmless, but the message it sends to the people who see it can have very strong consequences.
