Animal Instagram Spotlight: Jill The Squirrel

For this week's animal Instagram spotlight, we would like to introduce to you Jill the Squirrel! Did you know that squirrels are members of the family Sciurdae, a family including small and medium size rodents. Neither did we! The squirrel family includes tree squirrels, ground squirrels, and chipmunks amongst other rodents. We do not often see squirrels kept as pets, but when we do we love to see them cared for and appreciated the way all pets deserve to be!

Every week, we dedicate this post to the kings and queens of animal Instagram. Jill the Squirrel is an 8 year old Hurricane Isaac rescue squirrel. She is a proud vegetarian, and a self entitled parkour expert whose only fear is vacuum machines. She also loves Starbucks napkins. Thank you Jill, for sharing your life with us!

A golden crown for a true queen! Yay! There is always cause for celebration when you are this cute and floofy. Jill is clearly the queen of the house and looks like her owners know it too!

Everybody was kung fu fighting! Hi-ya! When you are a self declared parkour expert like Miss Jill here, you gotta do what you can to stay limber! With such impressive flexibility, it is no wonder to us why Jill excels at parkour.
