Organism - NTA, the people pressuring you are the probably the same people who have days banked up and it won't effect their planned time off. You don't owe anyone an explanation, your time off is approved and your flights are booked. It is not your fault the company has a crappy maternity leave policy. G Reply 4 97 3 ...

Font - 3 1 Award NTA. As a single person without kids, this is not the last time you will be pressured to give up something for someone with kids. Don't do it unless you truly want to do it. It is not your responsibility, it is the company's responsibility. Your benefits, including your time off, is part of your salary. If you wouldn't give her a day's pay don't give her a day. Font - Drive-by-poster • 12h NTA, and ignore everyone. First it was told I should cover work because I was single, then married but no kids, then kids but my parents weren't old and frail - it was (and still is) always something. You didn't make the baby and you are not financially responsible for it. Giving up paid time off is the same as giving her money. If she can't afford to have a kid, she shouldn't have one. Font - majesticjewnicorn · 14h Partassipant [3] NTA. What a stupid system your work has. They need to give employees maternity leave and stop letting other employees miss out on their hard earned leave to make up for their poor policies. You deserve the break and it is not your fault she chose to get pregnant. If I were you l'd speak to HR about this. G Reply 59 ...

Font - lectricpharaoh • 13h Partassipant [1] NTA at all. Your employer is too cheap to offer more days to pregnant women, so expect their employees to essentially give their time to this employee. I don't know if this co-worker feels entitled to your days- let's give her the benefit of the doubt, and say she doesn't- but your employer is way out of line with this. G Reply ...
