We're used to seeing wild and crazy family drama here, but this particular thread is tough to swallow. Redditor u/wedding_crasher200 posted to Reddit's popular r/AmITheAsshole to describe how she and her husband, who had been together since they were young teenagers, went through a tough time after she miscarried. When they attempted to reconcile the marriage, she eventually realized that her husband had grown close to her sister — close enough that he got OP's sister pregnant and decided to marry the sister instead.
If this wasn't brutal enough, these people had the gall to invite OP to the wedding — and when OP drunkenly confronted her sister about it, her sister actually said that perhaps OP had a miscarriage so everything could wind toward her getting her chance to start a family. With the same man.
Talk about narcissistic! We are horrified. Scroll down for all the messed-up details behind what drives this messed-up family.
Oof, it's already starting out so terrible. The fact that it gets worse as the story goes on is so depressing.
Such a heartbreaking start to this post.
