There are far too many examples of senseless, outright ruthless individuals going out of their way to unleash havoc on perfectly peaceful mailboxes. Seriously, it's not easy being a mailbox in this world, perpetually a target of mean-spirited people who like to knock them off their posts. Redditor u/AQuietBorderline took to r/ProRevenge to share a story about their father and uncle's engineering professor back in the day whose mailbox kept getting taken off its posts by a jerk in a red truck. Apparently, the professor enlists all of his engineering students to help manufacture a mailbox that fits size regulations, would not falter to a jerk with a baseball bat, and cost under $20. They sure did the thing and accomplished their mission when the idiot taking down mailboxes left and right injured himself trying to knock this one down, too.
