"Ah man, my pants keep wearing out in the back" you say to your coworker.
"Oh yeah, I used to have that problem, so that's why I switched to a different kind of pants. They've got a little more protection on the back," he says.
"Really?" You say. "I've had a hard time finding a decent replacement for these canvas style pants. I like them."
"Well ever since I switched to these, work has been a breeze," he responds, turning around. You notice the back of his sweatpants. "JUICY" they read.
"Yeah man, maybe I'm gonna do my own thing."
It's important to remember that just because someone is trying to help, that doesn't mean they actually know what they're talking about. So, when someone gives you some advice really confidently, take it with a big heaping bowl of salt. The lady at your job who seems to think really highly of herself might give you some of the worst advice people have ever gotten. It gets more specifically stupid too when it comes to the dumbest financial advice people received.
