Oh boy, this tale of revenge carries a prime and massively unfortunate example of nepotism at its very finest. Redditor u/LS-CRX took to r/prorevenge to share this story that will make The Office fans smirk: when their company wanted to place the owner's son as the branch manager of a small location, they asked OP's boss to relocate, which he declined. Instead of honoring the declination, though, the company started preparing to fire the boss, which OP dutifully noticed and informed his boss of ahead of time. They devised the ultimate "let's call their bluff" scheme and prepared the paperwork for OP to get fired as well, which they would only reveal if the boss was actually fired.
The boss was fired, and so was OP, leading to what sounds like a hilarious call with the unemployment office and HR in which HR explained that they had to fire OP's boss for filing paperwork incorrectly while arguing that OP's termination was invalid because the paperwork was filed incorrectly. We're honestly just grateful that this employee was able to successfully carry out the pro revenge that they did. If this revenge tale got you going, check out this pro revenge story about the time that a scummy collection agency made the mistake of messing with a guy's credit score.
