The Internet Turned Steve’s Wholesome Message Into Painfully Relatable Memes

If you've been on the internet for even a few minutes this week, you've probably seen the heartfelt viral video message that former Blue's Clues host Steve gave to all his grown-up fans. While the initial reaction was full of sentimentality and sincere emotion, it didn't take long for the internet to do its thing and meme the hell out of various stills from the video. As one of our followers pointed out in the comment section of our last post covering Steve's message, there's even a new Facebook group called 'I don't think this is what Steve meant by "accomplished"' and it's already full of memes that likely resonate with millennials who feel like they haven't gotten the chance to 'succeed' much in life so far. Twitter was also quick to churn out relatable, self-reflexive memes made from the perspective of depressive 30-somethings who aren't doing super well. We never thought we'd see Steve and the withered wojak together in one meme, but in 2021, anything is possible. To be fair, not everyone decided to get dark with it.
