Chicken nugget-loving man, Carter Wilkerson asked the Wendy's Twitter page how many retweets he would need in order to win a year's supply of nuggets. What was presumably an off-hand joke by Wendy's social media manager quickly turned into a massive viral moment. Carter Wilkerson needed his nuggs and the world tried to help him get them. Wendy's set the bar at 18 million retweets. #NuggsForCarter went global and millions of accounts retweeted in support. Sadly, after all that hard work, Carter did not reach 18 million. But Wendy's was thrilled by this unexpected campaign and still awarded Carter the year supply! This also inspired Wendy's to donate $100K to the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption. Way to go Nuggets guy!
