Unfortunately, there is no shortage of internet tales of patient employees of all kinds who hit a breaking point while dealing with incompetent and unhelpful managers. Some folks who find themselves in positions of power somehow wind up making everyone else's work experience that much more insufferable. In this ridiculous story, Reddit user u/onyxaj shared a tale from their time working at a K-Mart in the early 2000s, organizing carts in and out the parking lot. When a major storm came through the area on the original poster's payday, they decided to head to the store as it ran without power to pick up their paycheck — only to have their own manager not recognize them when they arrived.
Sure, the power was out, and it was probably a stressful day at work for everyone. It could have been a simple mistake, but no matter what the situation is, though, it has to be frustrating to realize a supervisor at a job doesn't even recognize you. What's worse is seeing commenters respond to the OP to share other stories of poor management from the same company.
