Discussion A couple of my favorites • At a local RTT and I'm throwing some thunder hammers into a redemptor dreadnought with a +1 to wound litany in effect. My Opponent drops 1 CP and says "I'm going to go ahead and transhuman him" Cue Record Scratch ...what. What followed was a 10 minute argument in which the player tried to argue that even though the redemptor lacked the PRIM

I pulled the 'would you like to read what the core rulebook says' card and the dude was like "No. I know how they work. They just have no save". Think they just gota little butthurt things were not going as plann

Font - JuanFromApple · 6d I spent an hour and a half arguing with a guy that you could use a feel no pain on mortal wounds, and despite every other person in the game store agreeing with me AND us simultaneously looking at the rulebook he still refused to ever admit he was wrong. Throughout the course of the argument he A. Got the impression that a mortal wound somehow harms a model differently from a regular wound and that the model would then lose a mortal wound (despite me point out that mode

Font - ImperialNacho · 6d Guy I played against refused to give me ANY information about his units. Toughness? You'll see after you select it to shoot at. Wounds left? You'll know when I remove the model. Units in reserve? You'll know when I put them on the table. Edit: and yes, we debated more than an hour if this is against the "rules" Reply 1 160

Font - SandersSchmittlaub • 6d Had a dude insist "select one enemy unit within x inches" actually meant "the closest unit" because he refused to acknowledge the word select meant I got to pick. When the entire club shouted him down, he changed his position and insisted that since it did not specifically say who got to choose, that he actually got to choose since it was going to affect his minis. Its been years, but I still maintain he had a very minor case of severe brain damage. G Reply 1 919 +

Font - oswell_XIV · 6d Ultramarines has a stratagem (1CP) that let a SINGLE attack to auto hit. Dude said that it lets ALL attacks to auto hit and proceeded to use it on his bracketed Leviathan. The wording is so obvious but it still took the store owner calling a few rule lawyers to make the call. Common sense is not common but l'm still amazed sometimes. G Reply 76 3 ...

Font - Tzelanit · 6d Playing a team tournament, my Imperial Guard and an acquaintance's Necrons vs two Tyranid players. We get first turn, the Necrons move up and I shoot. Importantly, the Nightbringer was moved into the center of the table, nowhere near any cover or obstructing terrain(which he wouldn't be able to benefit from given the rules at the time). During the Tyranid player's turn, there is a Carnifex in a building that wants to shoot at the Nightbringer. The building is scaled for huma

Font - jagnew78 · 6d Once had someone pull units in melee after getting double charged so that the second unit I charged with was no longer in engagement range. I piled in my 3" to fight and we argued for 10 minutes with him telling me that I couldn't pile in unless I was within engagement range, and me telling him that if I charged successfully I can still pile in no matter what. I pulled out the rule book, pointing out the exact words that allowed it to happen. He just refused to read it. Post

Font - cdnstudmuffin · 6d The classic 9" deep strike cheat. Guy puts his models 8.9" inches away ( innocent enough ) but then states he only needs 8" to be in engagement range. Even though it is simple rules, he argues... that his 8 is good for charge. The worst part of the game, is the people.. Reply 1 145 3 ...
