Overused Female Tropes In Movies And TV Shows That Never Happen IRL

We're just as obsessed with chick flicks as the next girl, but we'd be lying to ourselves if we said their plots were parallel to real life. As much as we wish we could be the protagonist of our fave flick, or realities simply don't add up to what she's experiencing. Some of our fave movies are unrealistic AF, and that's okay. The non-realistic aspects are exactly what makes it work in a movie. In an AskWomen thread, women discussed common female tropes in movies that never happen IRL. We never realized just how many female plots have become cliches. Check 'em ot below.

    The reason they're so prevalent in movies is because they're meant to be fantasies from our wildest imaginations.

The boyfriend of hot girl is verbally abused by him and falls in love with the dorky "unattractive" girl who helps him pass his math class. They go to prom and it is super romantic and the mean girl and her group of mean girls plot revenge but it backfires and they end up getting publicly shamed. Or something like that
