We have never in our lives heard of this practice before, and we agree- it is indeed mildly ominous. The post does not state whether this happens at 8am or 8pm, but we can only imagine the absolute horror of waking up to the sound of frogs screaming, and we don't even know what a frog screaming sounds like. Brb - googling. Squeak.
