    Taking preventative measures is important. Oh, we remember our first Christmas with our cat like it was yesterday, along with the madness that ensued, of course. Honestly, we do not this this is very practical. Out tip is: take dental floss, tie it to the tree on one end and to something else in your home on the other end, and voila! Your cat may climb onto the tree, but at least it most likely won't fall - the tree we mean.
