2021 was a year of great fashion. We were out and about and ready to dress to impress. But not gonna lie there were some trends that definitely should not be carried into 2022. We brought back some y2k stars and experimented in some DIYs and that's nothing to be ashamed of…. Well, maybe a little. There are definitely more than 7 but here are just a few of the trends we should say thank you next to.
"you bring the corsets
We'll bring the cinches
No one wants a waist over nine inches"
This TikTok trend annoyed the shit out of me. I Do not want a Barbie thin waist, curves are in, corsets are out.
This look isn't bad but its SOOO overdone. We all got into tie dye this past year, we all have this set in our closet, and we all need to be a little more unique and retire this tired look.
These oddly proportioned jackets were a big hit in 2021 and I'm not quite sure why. Clothes shouldn't leave us questioning. So let's just say bye-bye to this trend.
Why do we take a cool material, make a cheap plastic version, and make it look like it's painted on our bodies? Jeggings came and left and now leather leggings need to go.
This feels like the clothing item equivalent of a tramp stamp. It should have stayed in 2001 but for some reason, it came back 20 years later and fingers crossed it doesn't survive into 2022.
For some reason, the tom cruise from the graduate button-down shirt no pants came into street style? I'm all for button-down shirts but not dresses, and especially not with high boots. This weather confused fit needs to go!
These super unflattering jeans need to go! Another y2k style that should have stayed in the past.
