Funny Stories Of Cats Getting Jealous And Possessive Over Their Owners

Is it just us or do cats sometimes get a little jealous? We've always wondered. There will be times when our cats cuddle up to us and act all cutely and wholesomely. Then, there will be times when our cats will be little hooligans and toss things around. No matter what they do, we always feel like they're playful and they're doing it because they're enjoying their lives. Except for those few times when they look like they're actually mad at us. 

With our cats, it tends to happen whenever new people or animals are in the house. If we pet a dog for more than 5 seconds in our cat's line of vision, our cat will be aloof and give us the stank eye for a whole hour afterwards. And don't even get us started about said cat's protective reaction whenever literally anyone comes to the door - growling and preparing to launch himself the second it's necessary. It seems… like jealousy. And it looks like our cat is not the only one.

    Aww poor pup. It really does seem to be a thing for cats to react with jealousy when their human interacts with dogs. It's almost like they're thinking to themselves: how dare the human give affection to this stanky thing instead of to me. We would make up for it by petting that cat, but he's too busy being a butthurt baby.

    It's because they love us, okay? We just have to accept that some species show affection by destroying things with their pee. Namely, cats and dogs. And there isn't anything we can do about it other than feel flattered that they care and, of course, complain and laugh about it on the internet.

    Font - Susan Gummere I had a psycho cat. She loved me. It took time but she came to also trust my husband. He was always gentle with her and understood when she was distressed. Your boyfriend is not so understanding. He has scared the cat somehow. I would try behavioral techniques- rewarding her with food when she lets him closer and closer without getting hostile. The girl is attached to my kid and the boy is most definitely mine. However the girl is needy, and if my kid is busy she'll come to me for attention. There is no obvious reason for her hatred other than she was a tiny abandoned kitty when I found her and I likely imprinted on her as her mother. They also get jealous if I pet one, but not the other. They fight for the best spot on the bed-closest to my pillow. Don't tell me cats don't get jealous! The bf probably swatted it or worse, though.
