Shady Man Steals And Sells His Fiance's Train Collection, Which Served As A Memorial To Her Late Uncle

There are certain objects in our lives that we hold near and dear to our hearts. Some people may not understand the sentimentality, but that's what makes the object unique to us and our stories. In today's 'Am I The A$$hole?' post, the object that OP holds near and dear to her heart is a train collection that her late uncle gifted her. Her fiance wanted to sell it so that they cold get out of debt, but OP didn't want to because of how much it meant to her. Instead of respecting her wishes, her fiance sold the collection while she was out. Talk about a total lack of trust in the relationship! Redditors are even pushing OP to call off the wedding because of this! Let us know what you think of the drama below.

My Uncle started collecting trains as a hobby when he was working as an engineer. I took a huge interest in them as a child and teenager. My Uncle gave me his entire train collection when he became sick.

    Font - When I turned 19, I moved out and found a nice apartment near my college. I brought the collection with me. Some of my friends thought it was cool, others find it weird. I met my boyfriend in college and he moved in with me after we graduated. We got engaged last year and are currently struggling with debt, student loans and the wedding.

    Font - My best-friend got engaged this past weekend and a few of us went to celebrate at her parent's lakehouse. I was gone for two nights and when I returned, the train collection was completely gone. My fiance came running over saying that a collector came and gave him a decent price for the set. I started crying and yelling at him that he destroyed my trust and told him to leave the apartment.

Please go back to that collector and explain the situation. File a police report and sue your fiancé for grand theft. And OP, please break up with him because he completely betrayed your trust.
