Singles Lament The Challenges That Come With Modern Dating (Twitter Thread)

Being a single who is desperately trying to mingle isn't easy. Swiping through people we have nothing in common with on dating apps and going on countless blind dates that our taken friends set us up on with good intentions gets exhausting after a while. And yet, the singletons have to keep trying until they finally meet the match they were hoping for. When modern technology began to take on the singles scene and try to make the process easier, we believed it to be a dream come true. Alas, it seems that tech has only made dating more complicated because it made people seem more disposable. Every new tech comes with pros and cons, and the people of Twitter have taken to complain about the cons they've had to deal with when it comes to modern dating.

    Some people aren't simply inviting people to care about them. They're basically begging at this point. It's a dog-eat-dog world out there, and not everybody is going to care about our feelings.

    The best part of the gig is getting to see what this person is up to even though we have nothing to do with each other anymore. Even though it didn't work out between us, we're still curious about what they're up to. It's human nature.
