'I literally haven't eaten anything all day': This TikTok nails that co-worker who brags about how busy she is

We all know that co-worker. Not the one who's always cold and bundled up. Not the one who's literally never at their desk. Not even the one who's always taking personal calls and it's with their Mom.

No, today we're talking about your co-worker who always has her hands full and loves it too much. You know, the one who forgets to eat, never goes outside, doesn't take breaks, and doesn't have a life. “Work's been crazy,” she always says…even when everyone leaves the office early that day. She types so fast and loudly. I mean, she's practically banging on that keyboard. She's great at her job and needs everyone around her to know it at all times. In short, she only knows how to overperform.

This TikTok, which was posted by @casstherockwillson and shared on Instagram by @humorousresources, perfectly captures that person at work who brags about their poor physical and mental health “because of how crazy work has been.”

“Things have been so crazy at work"

Like any great TikTok, @casstherockwillson starts from a place that feels too real. “I haven't even eaten lunch yet…because of how crazy work has been." Immediately, we the audience know this girl. As the comedian continues to list off things she hasn't done because of her “busy schedule,” naturally, the examples get more and more ridiculous in the best possible way. By the time she's talking about keeping a chamber pot by her desk because she's too busy to use the bathroom, her delivery and physicality have gotten as ridiculous and abstract as the examples she's giving, and it more than proves the point she's making.

This mentality of working so hard that you can barely function is pointless. Bragging about it is not impressive. It's not “gold star” worthy. It doesn't make you win that you haven't showered. It just makes you smell like $hit.

Of course, there are certain moments when it's inevitable that people will have to work overtime or go above and beyond to reach a desired goal. However, more often than not, going above and beyond is a choice, not a requirement. It's not something everyone in the office should be doing. This co-worker might be working hard, but she's not working smart
