40 Year Old Man Sets The Record Straight: His Dog Is Named After Rue McClanahan, Not Rue From Euphoria
Euphoria is that one TV show that has been all over our newsfeeds this week. Even if we wanted to escape it, we wouldn't be able to in this day and age. Even people that don't watch the show know the characters and the plot because the fans have been posting about it all over Twitter and Tik Tok. When shows are trending, we can't help but know what's going on for the most part because we're internet users, and Internet users are generally in touch with what's so hot right now. Euphoria happens to be so hot right now. Twitter user @jimtews complained that everyone thinks he named his dog Rue after the Euphoria character when in reality his dog is named after American actress and comedian Rue McClanahan, may she rest in peace. Because he's a 40-year-old man who has no idea what's going on in Euphoria since he's never bothered to watch it, he said he doesn't want his poor, innocent dog to be compared to a highly sexualized teen like Rue from Euphoria. If you actually watch Euphoria, you know that Cassie and Maddy are the oversexualized teens on the show rather than Rue, which makes his tweet even funnier because he's so adorably out of the loop.
