We are truly praying for OP on this one. OP and her partner are both 27 year old adults. They've been together now for 4.5 years. Having a child was unanticipated as they originally agreed to have kids when they were closer to 30 years old... but such is life. The second issue on their plate is, they do not currently live together. He lives with his parents, and she has lived on her own since 20 years old. She is independent and knows how to act like a grown a$$ woman. Her partner on the other hand, is most concerned about the fact that he's never lived on his own before and wants to gain that independence before the baby comes. Um, hello? You should have thought about that long ago, buddy. He has a human child coming into the world shortly and all he can think about is creating a bachelor pad. His family is surprisingly backing up his decision. They agree that he 'never got the chance to live or mature on his own' so now is the time. If you are mature enough to have sex, you need to be mature enough to realize the outcome of that can sometimes be a baby. We are floored by this tale. Help OP and the moral judges of Reddit to decide a verdict on this one.
Off the bat - of course not! Both parents need to live and work together around the clock for their newborn. What kind of question is this?
