Font - It's a dog, we get it. Literally no reason to bring a dog into Home Depot, etc, other than to attract attention to yourself. (Except if it's a service dog. NOT an emotional support dog/pet)

Font - Edit: WOW, this really blew up more than I expected. Thanks for all the awards! I read most of the comments and most of you who disagreed are devoted dog/pet owners, which I am not. I appreciate everyone's admiration and treatment of their pets. Side note, when I was visiting Germany, dogs were allowed EVERYWHERE except grocery stores. Restaurants, book store, etc.

Font - RogueStatesman · 2 days ago I would have thought this a year or so ago when I didn't have a dog, but now I have a dog. He likes to be around me. I like to take him places. I don't care at all about attention. He's a friend, and I have no qualms about spending time with him when I'm out and about. 2.2k Reply Share •..

Font - DraftLevel28 · 2 days ago When I was a cashier, I had a woman come in bouncing and cooing her "baby" bundled up in a blanket. As I'm finishing up, I happen to turn and see a BIG, dirty puppy (did it roll in a puddle before coming in?!) standing on the bag stand while the woman is shaking out the hair blanket. All I said was "really?! remove the dog, now!" Then I had to scrub the stand. So frustrating!

Font - Beeker93 · 2 days ago I would be against bringing a dog into a place that serves food unless it is a genuine service dog. Aside from that, much of that goes under ability to control your animal (and clean up after it). Hardware and tool store doesn't seem to be an issue though. In Germany I was suprised how often you would see someone bring their dog into a resteraunt. But every last 1 was well trained and would sit under the table quietly. I don't doubt there are some issues, but just wh

Font - horseswithnonames · 2 days ago Going to disagree with you on that there is no reason to bring your dog into home Depot other than for attention. I've brought mine into HD many times instead of leaving them in the car and they enjoyed walking around and I enjoyed then being with me. Nobody really paid us any mind and I'm only there to get what I need and go, not there for conversation. I just enjoy being with my dog and HD is fine with having your dogs in the store. It's a pretty dirty env

Font - chef-wifey · 2 days ago · edited 2 days ago S 2 On one hand I agree with you, but on the other I don't mind as long as it's not causing a problem. Is your dog loud and barking at everything? Then please get out. If they're just walking with you and staying by your side, cool great. It just depends on how the dog behaves and how the ower is taking steps to correct their behavior edit: A lot of you guys keep mentioning allergies and I get that. But the folks that have those dogs are going t

Font - Piparit · 2 days ago This view should apply to kids as well. "Is your kid loud and screaming at everything? Then please get out. If they're just walking with you and staying by your side, cool great. It just depends on how the child behaves and how the parent is taking steps to correct their behaviour." I personally would prefer to be in a store full of pups of varying size and personality, than loud spoiled kids.

Font - sunshyneyday · 2 days ago Sometimes it's a matter of convenience... I'd rather take my dog into a pet-friendly store than have to leave him in the car or bring him home. I don't take them with the intentions of bringing them shopping with me... they are big and they do get attention.. it's much easier without them I also know people that bring dogs to pet friendly places to help with training

Font - i_fuckin_luv_it_mate · 2 days ago Hey, if a store doesn't want dogs in there, that's fine. But if it allows dogs I'm going to bring my dog along. It's just me, my partner and him in a small apartment, he's an anxious little guy who doesn't have a whole lot of stimuli when we're not there (I give him puzzles, toys, videos on the TV, still he gets bored), and so if I can avoid him being stuck at home bored, I'll do so. Out of empathy for him. He didn't choose this life, I want it to be as h

Font - hxppyfxce · 2 days ago My dog's favorite place in the world was Lowe's, especially after he hurt his back. He was a mini dachshund and we would just put his blanket in the little seat in our cart and he would sit there and watch the people. Sometimes people would pet him, which he loved, and sometimes he'd just ride around in the cart without any issues. No one was ever outwardly bothered by him being there. He was quiet and calm and friendly. If we couldn't take him with us on our many t

Facial expression - incorrigible57 · 2 days ago Taking your dog on excursions is for the dog. They would be sleeping otherwise. They get a better quality life by doing things and going places. People who love dogs do things for them it's not about seeking attention .
