Deranged Discussions That Escalated Fast Enough To Give Whiplash

A lesson that all of us have to learn at some point is that life comes at you fast. One minute, we're ambling along without a care in the world, and the next we're being bombarded with all kinds of things that seem to have the sole purpose of making our existence more difficult, or at least a hell of a lot more weird.

Nowhere is this more apparent than on the internet. As it turns out, giving a significant proportion of the world's population access to social media means that we get exposed to breakneck turns in tone and content on a pretty much daily basis. You might think that we'd all be used to it by now, but these rapid escalations can still pack a punch, and it's not always easy to see them coming. On the one hand, it's nice to know that we can still be taken by surprise. On the other, what in the ever-loving f*ck?
