Greetings, dog enthusiasts! We're sure most of you know that there's nothing worse than shamers. Whether it be mommy shamers or dog owner shamers, no one wants to hear constant judgment for their parenting. Ironically, it's always the people who have zero clue about your life, your behaviors, abilities, and opportunities.
This brings us to today's Reddit discussion where dog owners vent about a Tiktok influencer who is constantly putting others down for not feeding their dogs a raw diet. While raw diets are great for dogs (most of the time), it's not always an attainable reality. Raw diets don't come cheap if you have a big dog and especially when you have more than one. Raw meat also requires lots of refrigerator storage space, which again, is not always a reality.
Social media is great because it allows us to connect with millions of people on a daily basis. But like with anything else in life, with the good parts also come bad ones. Credibility and influence, for example. Because social media is accessible to everyone and anyone, you should always double-check for sources. Especially if it's coming from an influencer.
"She recently made a video where she encouraged people to disregard their VETS recommendations in favor of a raw diet."
Sorry, what? Encouraging people to disregard their vets? On what basis? Does she have a medical degree? Does she know the context and medical history of all the dogs in her comments? What?!
"SHE WALKED PAST SOMEONES YARD OVER AND OVER AGAIN, STRESSING THEIR DOG OUT TO TRAIN HERS! SOMEONES YARD, ATTACHED TO THEIR HOME!"
Come again? Isn't she a pro-dog influencer? And she's intentionally harassing and stressing out other people's dogs? Make it make sense.
