Immature Father-To-Be Fuming When He Discovers The Baby Is A Girl At Gender Reveal Party
Gender reveal parties are especially thrilling events for people who are about to become parents for the first time. Heck, they're also exciting if the couple is just having more kids. Although there have been a fair share of gender reveal parties that have wreaked chaos on the entire neighborhood (or even entire forests), the ones that managed to keep to themselves instead of causing harm to others can be really cute. It's pretty cool that we live in a time that we could check the sex of the baby in advance. It's another reminder that science has progressed so much, and we're only going to keep learning more about pregnancy in the future, which is a big win for women. Of course, gender reveal parties should be taken lightly. Whether or not it's a boy or a girl, people should just be happy they're able to have a baby in the first place because not everyone gets the chance to. People tend to take their blessings for granted.
In today's 'Am I the A$$hole?' post, OP told us that her sister and brother-in-law hosted a gender reveal party for their baby. When they discovered that the baby was a girl, OP's BIL went off to a corner to sulk and mumble angrily to himself. Since OP saw how distraught her sister was, she tried to reason with her BIL about how his childish behavior might be negatively impacting her sister, and he lashed out on her, going off the deep end and calling her a "stupid b*tch." Like, dude, how are you not embarrassed to talk to your SIL like that, especially at an event that is supposed to be celebratory?! OP wasn't just going to accept his disgusting attitude, so she clapped back by telling him he's definitely not ready to have a child if he's going to act like one himself. Because he's clearly an angry man, he did not take this well. OP realized she should probably just remove herself from the situation, but later her sister texted her that she was mad at her for starting a fight with her husband. Apparently, the jerk is refusing to parent this baby now. In our opinion, he's totally in the wrong, and maybe OP's sister should reconsider having this man parent her baby in the first place because he's obviously going to be a terrible father to her. If he couldn't handle any outcome, then they shouldn't have thrown a gender reveal party. His behavior is so awkward for all the guests.
