If you are a cat owner, we know that you have experienced the undeniable fear that comes with suddenly. not. finding. your. cat. It's one of the worst feelings in the world. You feel like you've failed them, lost them- what will happen to them without you tending to their every need? And then… the relief - and the shock, but mostly the relief - of finding that this whole time, your cat was peacefully sleeping inside a cupboard. When a cat plays hide and seek with its human… it always wins.
This twitter thread is not the first time we have seen people finding their cats in random places. We have seen tweets about someone accidentally finding their cat at their neighbor's - where apparently, it has been chilling for a while, and even tweets about someone finding their cat in an apartment ad that they clicked on. Cats will do what they want when they want, and no one can stop them.
Look at him, chilling there so innocently. Like he's done absolutely nothing wrong. This is what we love most about cats - they don't care. No matter what happens, they continue to chill. To be honest, we aspire to be more like them. We aspire to be more like him. Rock on.
Honestly, we can't even imagine the first time you found him under the ottoman. Not only did he probably scare the heck out of you by suddenly disappearing from sight, but he also ruined a purrfectly lovely piece of furniture. Sigh, well, nothing to do about it. It is his seat now. He's claimed it, and that's that.
