Wife Runs To Reddit After Husband Gets Sent To The Doghouse

Once everyone started working from home, all of a sudden everywhere was a dog friendly working environment. It was amazing for a few months just to get to cuddle up next to our pets while we were doing our work, but after a while, all that staying at home took a toll. Still, once we got back to the office, some people were lucky enough to bring their pets with them. Others… well, you'll see what we mean in a second.

This week, a woman posted to Reddit about her insufferable husband, because he wouldn't willingly take his dog to work! The dog is a blue heeler, a notoriously high energy breed (they were bred to herd sheep!), and the husband only works five minutes down the road. So, you think it would be good that he could take the dog, help it burn some energy during the day, and then return home at night when everyone can relax. Instead, he likes to leave the dog at home, get it wound up, and leave– even when his wife and daughter need to sleep! Imagine trying to sleep with a hyper sheep dog knocking things over in the house for an hour. Spoiler alert, it's not going to go well for anyone! 

So, this woman made her husband take the dog to work after this latest incident. He got offended, claiming that she overreacted, and she turned to Reddit to see if they'd take her side. Unsurprisingly, they did, and they came out with flying colors to say it.     This Isn't Starting Well

    Font - My husband comes home every day at 11:15 during his lunch break to eat. His work is only 5 minutes away. It's important to note that he is allowed to bring his dog to work with him and has done so a handful of times prior to this incident. For the past 3 days I have been getting very little sleep. Not only are you losing sleep trying to make enough money to feed them, now you're also losing sleep soothing them when they're not feeling well! It's what you sign up for, but it can wear on anyone's nerves. Plus, with what comes next, we can understand why she might've been a little angry.

    What An Imbecile

    Font - So today I have off and my little one is feeling better but she is still cranky and tired herself. She went down for a nap at 10:30 this morning. My husband gets home to eat at 11:15ish and for whatever reason, decided it would be a great idea to get the dog going. Tossing the dog around, saying "wheres your toy" in a baby voice (which sets the dog off in a full blown playful mood every single time) or saying "get momma, wheres momma".     What Do We Think?

    Human body - He then proceeds to text me and say that he "cant get shit done now" and that I should have just stuck the dog in the kennel while we napped (she howls when she is in there when she is energetic so, no) and its my fault he isnt going to get anything done. I ignored it. AITA?

    Font - saurons-cataract - 6 days ago Partassipant [1] NTA OP. My dog is half heeled and is a ball of energy. When he gets going and wants to play, he doesn't take no for an answer! When we go for walks or runs he doesn't start to get tired until the 3rd mile. I love him to pieces but man, sometimes I wish he'd cosplay that's he's a lazy lapdog.

For real though, even if the dog wasn't behaving like a maniac at your husbands urging, if it's extra responsibility for you while you're trying to deal with a sick child, it should not be a problem for your husband to take the dog to work with him to help ease that burden for a few days.
