When this lady received an invitation to her cousin's wedding, the invitation explicitly requested that there be no children at the wedding. Of course, this didn't apply to her and her baby (why do these people always think like this.)
So, thinking only of herself, she RSVP'd that her baby would be her +1 instead. Genius.
Please feel free never to attend any family events again if this is you. This selfish and entitled behavior is grounds for disownment.
The thread was posted from a throwaway account, u/babyweddingthrowaway, to Reddit's r/AITA (Am I the A-hole) subreddit. She posted the topic to see if she was in the wrong for her actions as the baby proceeded to cry at the ceremony. After the ceremony, her aunt approached her and told her that she was rude for bringing the child, which, despite everything, was somehow a surprise to her.
Commenters were ruthless and did not hold back in letting the poster know just how wrong she was. It sounds like this one is an open and shut case.
