    Smells Like Trouble

Font - I am not entirely sure how to process this situation. My husband (27 m) and I (25 f) have been together for 6 years and married for 3. We recently had our son who is 10 months. We live in a 2 bedroom apartment, and for the past 3-4 years, our cat has had her own bedroom. It was never a big deal to me because we didn't have kids, our couch pulled out into a bed if there was ever an emergency with family or friend, and I will admit we both treat our cat like our daughter. Once we had a chil

We're not entirely sure how to process this situation either, but we're going to try. This woman and her husband are still sleeping with their ten month old child in the room, even though they have a perfectly good room right next to theirs that the cat barely uses! It sounds like they need to get some of their priorities in order.

    How Crazy Is This?

Font - I started talking about how we could covert our cat's room into a nice bedroom for our child. He got upset. He asked how could I even fix my mouth to suggest we take away his daughter's room. I looked at him confused. Our apartment is big enough for most of her stuff to come out of the room and in the living room/kitchen area. She only has a bed, scratching post, and a few cat toys. The only thing that may be harder to place is the scratching post just because of the height(and it's not e

We understand that a lot of people like to consider their pets as their children, but seriously, Man? This guy has an actual child in the same house, and is still hanging onto the cat being his daughter. She can be an important part of the family, sure, but we think the son deserves the bedroom. Do you guys agree?

    Simple As That

Rectangle - Karma_1969 17 days ago @ Asshole Enthusiast [5] NTA. Let your husband throw his weird little tantrum, and then start setting up your kid's room with or without his help. Look, I'm a huge cat person, owned cats all my life and always will and love them to death. And even I think your husband is weird about this. Cats don't need rooms, humans do. Simple as that. 6.7k Reply Give Award Share Report Save Follow

    Cats Are Usually Pretty Understanding

Font - madlyqueen 17 days ago I have a cat who thinks she has her own room, but it's really the guest bedroom. She still spends most of her time wherever I am. OP's husband can't seriously believe the cat needs the room more than his child? Reply Give Award Share Report Save Follow 198 Ok-Raspberry7884 17 days ago That's what my cat has. He likes sitting in the window and looking at the garden so everyone calls it the cat's bedroom because I rarely have guests and the cat uses it more than I do.

This Could Get Awkward Real Quick

Where in the hell does he expect your child to sleep as they grow up? 840 Reply Give Award Share Report Save Follow Nice-Delivery-1817 OP 17 days ago This is why I was so confused. I always assumed that we got a 2 bedroom apartment with the intention of if we had a child they would get it. 665 Reply Give Award Share Report Save Follow

It Must Go Deeper Than This

Font - yweeb 17 days ago Asshole Enthusiast [7] NTA, I can't believe this is really about the cat. 461 Reply Give Award Share Report Save Follow Nice-Delivery-1817 OP 17 days ago I honestly don't think it is. Exactly What We Were Thinking

Font - columbospeugeot 17 days ago (P Professor Emeritass [71] What did I just read? He seriously thinks the cat is his daughter and deserves her own room, but his human son doesn't? There is something really wrong with him. So Bizarre, Right?

Smile - Quople 17 days ago NTA this is so bizarre man. A cat of all pets doesn't need her own room and this should have been the first topic of discussion prior to giving birth to your son 110 Reply Give Award Share Report Save Follow

    Oh No You Didn't

Rectangle - LauraBabora325 17 days ago Partassipant [1] NTA. But your husband sure is. He prioritizes the cat over his own child? Complete a-hole. Your child is 10 months old. Time for their own room. Or maybe time for a new husband. 583 Reply Give Award Share Report Save Follow
