We commonly see such a phenomenon when it comes to the release of an overhyped TV show, movie, or video game that has been riding the hype train out of control to the point that there's no way the game can live up to the expectation that has been set for it. Game releases like Cyberpunk 2077 and No Man's Sky come to mind here. This phenomenon also happens with vacation destinations, famously ‘Paris Syndrome,’ which is a feeling of extreme disappointment that Japanese nationals feel when they finally visit the over-romanticized city.
Similarly, Tammy has doomed herself to unhappiness and failure by setting ridiculous expectations for her babysitter. The ad requests a babysitter to watch her four children and lists the minimum requirements of someone with a Master's Degree, no social media accounts, a great cook, and an avid cleaner.
The photo of the ad went viral yesterday when it was posted to Reddit's r/antiwork subreddit. Keep reading to see the photo and screenshots of the thread it was posted to, along with some reactions.
