When it comes to lost pets, your best bet is to go to the local neighborhood watch, and neighborhood support groups. More often than not, these helpful people will be able to rally together and help you find your missing pet. That's not exactly what happened here, since the neighborhood watch group that found the missing cat was more than 250 miles away, but we're pretty sure that the rule still applies!
Ashley is a beautiful siamese cat who found herself outside for the first time recently, after a cleaner accidentally left a bathroom window open in her family's home. Ashley and her parents live all the way in North Wales, in a town called Glan Conwy, and when she first went missing, they actually just thought she was hiding somewhere asleep! But, when she stopped showing up for meal times, they got incredibly worried for the safety of their fur baby. Their neighbors got together and started looking in nearly every nook and cranny in Wales with no luck. Until, one day about a week later, the couple got a message from a lost and found organization located east of London, nearly 280 miles from the family's Wales home. The organization, called Pippa's Army, had found Ashley safe and sound (albeit a little scared), and urged the couple to come get their cat ASAP. Of course, they did, and the tearful reunion came soon after. Since then, Ashley has remained in the house, and Pippa's Army has continued reuniting lost cats and dogs with their families throughout the UK. So, now Ashley's parents know to keep all the windows closed, and you all know that if you or a friend lives in the UK and loses a pet, you should give Pippa's Army a call!
Here we see Ashley after she was found by Allan, and his dog Bobby in their garage in Essex. We're sure that she startled these two with those piercing blue eyes. But, once they saw how gentle she is, they brought her right inside and all started to brainstorm a way to get Ashley home.
It was actually Bobby who found Ashley that morning, six days after she left home. And, it was Bobby who suggested that they call Pippa's Army, too (we're not sure if that's actually true). The organization had helped a lot of Essex residents find their pets in the past, and Allan and Bobby just assumed that Ashley was from Essex too.
