'They got into a shouting match': Neighbor blocks sidewalk with SUV and tells other neighbor to report them if they don't like it... The predictable happens

I guess it comes down to what enforcement is like and whether the authority is actually going to bother to come down to your neighborhood and lay down the law. But, that's not a gamble I would want to take ANY time it comes to the possibility of being fined by the city for a parking infringement. Pretty much every local enforcement board is RABID when it comes to handing out parking fines. Hell, it's free money to them. What easier way to raise funds than ticketing a dubiously parked vehicle?

A couple of years back I got $400 in fines for parking in front of my own house with a valid parking permit. They had ticketed me (electronically) five times before I even received notification of the first offense. It was so impossible to navigate their intentionally difficult appeals process that I eventually ended up giving up, but not before going full Karen on them. Like I said, rabid.

Predictably, the city came out and ticket the vehicle, which for some reason led to the neighbor needing to store the vehicle at an expensive storage facility.
