We all know, on some fundamental level, that not everyone loves cats as much as we do - as impawssible as that may seem. We know that sometimes cats come from bad homes where they're neglected, sometimes harmed. These stories are difficult to hear because, often, they end badly. That's why we make sure to place as much spotlight as we can on those stories that end happily - to try to encourage more people to help these kinds of cats.
Like the story of the abused cat who got adopted and had successful surgery to fix its broken leg or the story of how a few humans gently introduced a cat who was abused and neglected to another cat and all the difficulties they went through or the story about the declawed and neglected Bengal cat who got rescued and was given a second chance at life. And, of course, this story that you're about to read now.
"Two years ago our dog let us know there was something on the deck."
"When I opened the door to see what it was this cat ran in and flopped on the laundry."
"We were sure we were giving an elderly cat a comfortable place to die in peace."
"He didn't die and he wasn't old. He was an eight month old kitten someone had abused, starved, and thrown away."
"We took him in. We treated his infections, ear mites, cigarette burns, and slowly fed him back to a healthy weight."
"We found out he is mostly deaf and completely dumb."
"He showed us he was the sweetest and most loving cat you will ever meet."
"He's a silly boy who just wants love."
"Maybe a little of whatever you're eating."
"A toy."
"Maybe a hat."
"A good laugh."
