Regret is a painful emotion. And as you get older, it always seems there's more to feel regretful about. There are loads of memes about being in the shower and thinking about the comebacks you could have used against that annoying coworker, or perhaps your mortal enemy. But that kind of regret is nothing. I, personally, have been having a hard time thinking about all the hours I've spent nursing drinks at the dive bars where my friends work. I'd offer to help them close in exchange for cheap drinks, and for some years it was a near-daily activity. I was getting plastered instead of dealing with my other problems and building a better life for myself. But young people can be stupid, and I'm no exception.
Regrets like mine are perfect fodder for self-deprecating and relatable memes. And there's a format going around that is simply designed to express this negative emotion. It's being called "Guy Throwing Up/Me Remembering," and it's named that for pretty obvious reasons. It features a very pixelated vector of a man throwing up, and is usually used to describe instances that are painful to remember. We've put together our favorites, but we expect to see a lot more. After all, there's just so much for humans to regret. Right?
