Let's face it, some people were meant to be parents, and some people, well, weren't. It doesn't mean that we can't all be wonderful parents to beautiful children. But, some individuals are obviously going to struggle more than others. That being said, we read a story on Reddit this week and can't figure out whether the person in this story is an incredible parent, or an awful one. You'll see what we mean in a second.
Apparently, this family decided to buy their son a dog a little while ago. At first, they decided to give their son a break when he wasn't walking or feeding the dog. After all, maybe he just needed time to connect with the sweet, little Siberian Husky named Zeus that they'd brought home. But, that connection never came. The son and the dog don't interact, and the dog has essentially become the dad's dog. Now, if that was all that was going on here, it wouldn't be so bad. Lots of families have brought home pets only to realize that their children can't properly care for the animal. But, this is going to a whole new level, because the son actually asked his parents if he could sell Zeus and buy some video games with the money. Take a second, read it again. This kid wanted to sell his dog, and buy video games with the money. Obviously, this left the father wondering where he could've gone wrong as a parent, and he had to turn to Reddit to explain the situation. We're just giving you a cursory peek here. Just wait until you see the rest of this craziness in a second. You can check out the whole story down below, and you can check out more whacky internet recaps like this one here on Animal Comedy, everyday!
If the dog had only been in the house for a few weeks, maybe we could understand this behavior. But, Zeus has been a part of this family for two years, and everyone else loves him. So, why can't the son get with the program and love his new sibling, too?
Believe us, we're just as freaked out as you are reading this. Can you believe that this little psychopath just decided to steal his family's dog, and then try to sell him for a stupid video game console? We absolutely feel like the dad did the right thing here, and these other Redditors down below are going to back him up too.
