It's important that you like your doctors, obviously. You should be fond of the people that are going to be poking and prodding and keeping you healthy over the years. And, the same should go for your pets. Even if they don't like going to the vet, you need to make sure that you respect and trust their veterinarian to give them the proper care. Plus, if you're going to a vet clinic that gives you pause, imagine how scared your pet must feel. That's why we're so glad this woman turned around and walked out of the clinic after this awful front desk experience.
Apparently, OP had an agreement with their vet before coming in for their cat's checkup. The cat has anxiety, and OP wanted to make sure that if she couldn't be in the room, that at least the cat would be in and out of the doctor's office quickly. But, when they got there, one of the nurses came out and told another nurse that everyone was on lunch. When OP asked when they'd be back, the nurse got snarky. Then, it got worse, and the nurse started trash talking OP within earshot, and the whole situation just snowballed from there. OP decided she wasn't going to put up with that kind of behavior, and so she turned around and walked out. But, she was left after the whole situation wondering if she'd been in the right or not. So, she turned to Reddit, and wouldn't you know it, they agreed with her wholeheartedly. Take a look down below and you'll be able to see the nitty gritty details of the situation!
Seems like this nurse was just waiting to ruin somebody's day. Instead of flaunting to all of your customers that they're not going to be served, and their pets are going to be nervous and waiting, why not show some compassion and apologize for the delay? Then, the audacity to argue with a customer after they already had an agreement with the vet? What is going on here?
We are so glad that OP decided to take a stand here. If she hadn't, not only would her cat have been waiting back there forever, but that awful nurse holding a grudge for no reason would have access to the animal, too. This whole situation is just grinding our gears, but we are so glad OP realizes that she needs to advocate for her cat.
